At Daily Bread Homestead, we take great care in packaging and shipping all of our live birds and hatching eggs to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. All shipments are handled responsibly and follow NPIP-certified and AI Clean biosecurity standards.
🚚 Processing Time

Orders are typically processed and prepared for shipment within 3–7 business days, depending on product availability and weather conditions.
- Most orders are shipped within 2-3 days of purchase. Live birds only ship in the beginning of the week so not delayed. We reserve the right for longer processing times of bulk orders with free shipping.

We may delay shipments to protect live birds or hatching eggs from extreme heat, cold, or postal delays.
📦 Shipping Methods

All hatching eggs are shipped via USPS or UPS and all live birds are shipped via Priority Mail Express, depending on destination and weather.

Tracking information will be sent via email once your order has shipped. Tracking information may take 1-2 days to show carrier scans.

We ship live birds and hatching eggs all over the United States (excluding locations restricted by NPIP, local, or federal regulations).
🐣 Hatching Eggs

Each egg is individually inspected, packaged, and cushioned in foam for safe travel.

We cannot control handling or conditions during transit, but we do guarantee 50% fertility (development).

Customers must follow all care and incubation instructions provided with the order.
🐦 Live Birds

A valid phone number is required so USPS can contact you for pickup.

Live birds must be picked up before the end of the closing day once they arrive at your local post office.

Failure to pick up your birds the same day voids any live arrival guarantee.

We guarantee birds to arrive alive and healthy. If a bird arrives DOA or passes within 24 hours of pickup, please contact us immediately with photos for review or any other requested information.
🧊 Weather & Seasonal Holds

To ensure the safety of our animals, we may postpone shipping during extreme temperatures or hazardous conditions.

Customers will be notified of any delay and rescheduled shipment.
💬 Shipping Issues or Claims
If you experience an issue with your shipment:

Contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

Include your order number and a detailed explanation of the issue.

Claims are reviewed individually, and all refunds, replacements, or credits are subject to availability and our discretion.
⚖️ Our Responsibility
Once an order has been shipped and scanned by the carrier, ownership transfers to the buyer. We are not responsible for delays, damage, or mishandling during transit. However, we will assist with claims when possible to ensure the best resolution. We try our best to help in all circumstances and will guide you with the appropriate information.
