Refund Policy – Daily Bread Homestead

At Daily Bread Homestead, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of care for our live birds and hatching eggs. Because we work with live, perishable products, all refunds, prorated refunds, or replacements are subject to our discretion and based on product availability.
🥚 Hatching Eggs

We guarantee 50% fertility (development) on all hatching eggs.

Customers must follow all incubation instructions provided by Daily Bread Homestead.

All eggs must be kept and available for analysis and requested photos must be provided when submitting any fertility-related claim.

The fertility guarantee is void if eggs are incubated with non-quail eggs or in mixed batches requiring different temperature/humidity settings.

Claims will only be reviewed if customers have followed all provided care and incubation guidelines.
- Photos are required for all fertility claims.
🐦 Live Birds

Customers must provide a valid phone number for USPS to call upon arrival.

Live birds must be picked up before the post office closes on the day of arrival. Failure to do so voids any warranty or live arrival guarantee.

We guarantee birds to arrive alive and healthy.

If a bird arrives DOA or passes within 24 hours of the USPS pickup scan, please contact us immediately for assistance and follow given instructions.

Customers must follow care instructions exactly as provided upon arrival.

Photos are required for all live bird claims.
💬 Refunds, Replacements & Credits

All refunds, partial refunds, credits, or replacements are determined at our sole discretion.

Any approved refunds may be prorated depending on circumstances and product availability.

Shipping costs are non-refundable once orders have been shipped. We are not responsible for any shipping delays. All packages are insured and a shipping claim may be filed through the carrier.

We reserve the right to refuse refunds or replacements if instructions were not followed, or if improper care or handling occurred.

To submit a claim for any issue:

Include your order number and detailed description of the issue.

Claims must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery or pickup of live birds.
- Fertility claims must be submitted on day 24 of your incubation and no later than day 30 if requested photos are submitted.
⚖️ Our Right to Decide
All claims, refunds, and replacements are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to determine what resolution is appropriate based on the situation, documentation, and our available inventory. As long as instructions are followed and appropriate photos given, we are more than generous when trying to help our customers with hatching eggs/incubation issues.
